About the Position:

The Fresh Market currently has an opening for an HR Analyst in our Store Support Center (099). In this role, you will have an opportunity to have a direct impact on HR and company strategy by providing an analysis of HR data. The HR Analyst will collect, compile, validate and analyze our people data, HR data, metrics, and statistics. This Analyst will use this information to make recommendations to the HR Leadership team on recruitment, retention, engagement, and more.

What You'll Do:
  • Collect and compile HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS), workforce management, talent acquisition, training, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitor’s practices, and other sources.
  • Analyze data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintains relevant HR strategic reports and dashboards, and audits report data
  • Prepare reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings to leadership.
  • Identifies and recommends reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics.
  • Based on metrics and analysis, with the HR leadership team, develop recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, motivate and retain team members, address staffing issues, and maintain legal compliance.
  • Assist in responses to regulatory, governance, or board data requests.
  • May conduct or assist with conducting classification audits to ensure that jobs are properly classified as exempt or nonexempt.
  • Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • When necessary, perform as backup to systems team with other responsibilities
Qualifications:

At a minimum, what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in a related field or three (3) or more years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent Excel skills including higher-level formulations and/or VBA code
  • Familiarization with reporting programs such as Cognos and/or MicroStrategy
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of HR functions
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s UKG HR, payroll, and similar team member management systems.
  • Proficiency with MicroStrategy
  • PHR or other HR certification
  • Retail support environment experience
