About the Position:

The Fresh Market currently has an opening for a Brand Content Manager in our Store Support Center (099). The Brand Content Manager is an integral part of the Marketing department. This position is responsible transforming our national go-to-market calendar and product category initiatives into a creative and cohesive message that comprises TFM – The Magazine each month. This content directly flows to all other marketing channels, including Retail Media, Social, Digital, Email, Influencers, PR and instore collateral. This role has high visibility cross-functionally, not only within marketing, but also working in partnership with operations, training and merchandising teams. The person in this role must be at ease working in a collaborative environment and able to manage multiple processes and timelines at once. This position reports directly to the Director of Brand Marketing and Consumer Research.

What You'll Do:
  • Oversee the concepting, creation and production of the monthly magazine.
  • Ensure that magazine content is on brand, aligns with seasonal products and occasions and supports sales initiatives.
  • Collaborates with designers, copywriter, photographer, stylist and chefs or recipe developers (when needed) on magazine content, including editorial and ad placements.
  • Manage timelines and deadlines for ad placement, product delivery for photoshoots and upload for printing and distribution to TFM stores.
  • Presents to broader cross functional team go-to-market plans for products in the magazine as needed.
  • Responsible for the TFM Eatertaining Guide, a supplemental catering guide that is updated and published twice a year (in addition to TFM Magazine).
  • Lead and collaborate integrated magazine advertising with merchants and vendors.
  • Stay current on industry trends with regard to retail product, flavors and consumer interests.
  • Play an integral part in the in-store experience of the magazine through signage and story telling.
Qualifications:

At a minimum, what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5-8 years of related experience in brand marketing, grocery or publishing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and excellent follow through.
  • Experience working with a creative team or agency.
  • Ability to communicate business and brand strategies as they align with creative objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Can work collaboratively in a team-focused environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Has cross functional experience and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Can pivot when needed to help problem solve within the department.
  • Experience working on Adobe platforms is a plus.
