About the Position:

The Fresh Market currently has an opening for a Category Assistant, Adult Beverages in our Store Support Center (099). The Category Assistant will perform a role that is critical to ensuring accuracy in category management support and item/vendor data. This position will support the category management team by managing all the administrative functions that are needed to run the day-to-day business and achieve sales and strategic targets.

What You'll Do:
  • Execute pricing, promotion, assortment, and planograms for each assigned area of business.
  • Execute new vendor setup.
  • Ensure accurate and timely item set up in The Fresh Market systems for ordering.
  • Enter/review weekly promotions and retail changes.
  • Organize product samples and new item submission forms, schedule and execute product cuttings.
  • Review and update point of sale material for stores.
  • Proof ads, signs, and display programs for accuracy.
  • Coordinate and create any store signage needs.
  • Organize/maintain weekly Reports, Retail Sheets, and PLU Sheets.
  • Update nutritional information for all new recipes (where applicable).
  • Coordinate and distribute weekly/monthly programs to store locations.
  • Efficiently respond to communication from stores to ensure effective resolution of inquiries, issues, and operational requirements.
  • Perform Periscope updates as required.
Qualifications:

At a minimum you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2-4+ years of professional merchandising experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in a retail, grocery, and/or CPG environment.
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and is detail oriented.
  • Demonstrates strong listening, written and oral communication skills.
  • Is flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Builds and maintains productive relationships with peers and cross-functional teams.
  • Able to work in fast paced environment, multi-task, organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates initiative in exposing and resolving issues and opportunities.
  • Communicates effectively at all levels internally and with vendors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with MicroStrategy
