About the Position:

Are you passionate about retail marketing, enthusiastic about bringing brands to life, and detail-oriented in managing marketing projects? The Fresh Market is seeking a Marketing Planning and Activation Coordinator to join our Marketing Team. In this role, you will directly support the Marketing Planning and Activation Managers, assisting in the development, coordination, and execution of impactful marketing plans and brand activations

This role will report to the Director, Marketing Planning & Activation.

What You'll Do:
  • Marketing Plan Coordination: Assist the Marketing Planning and Activation Managers in developing and executing product initiatives, promotions and seasonal campaigns aligned with business objectives. Coordinate timelines, ensure on-time deliverables, and maintain communication with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless campaign implementation.
  • Campaign Activation Support: Provide hands-on support in activating marketing campaigns across multiple channels. Work closely with Creative, Merchandising, Digital Marketing, Ecommerce, Email/Loyalty, and store operations teams to execute coordinated and timely activations.
  •  Cross-Functional Communication: Function as a liaison to ensure clear and timely communication between internal stakeholders (Merchandising, Digital, Email/Loyalty, Ecommerce, Creative, and Operations). Assist in scheduling meetings, capturing follow-ups, and managing documentation to keep projects on track.
  • Brand Messaging and Storytelling: Assist in developing compelling storytelling and branding initiatives across all grocery, perishable, seasonal and Private label departments. Contribute ideas and insights to shape impactful and consistent messaging.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Support in monitoring, tracking, and reporting marketing campaign results. Prepare summary reports on campaign effectiveness using key metrics and provide initial recommendations for optimizations.
  • Analytics: Generate consumer insights from sales data and secondary data sources to inform future marketing decisions and optimizations.
Qualifications:

At a minimum, what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in marketing, preferably with exposure to retail or grocery environments.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines
    simultaneously.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
    • A passion for retail, branding, and consumer engagement.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
    • A desire to learn and be successful.

Preferred qualifications:
• Familiarity with retail media or shopper marketing concepts.
• Experience supporting omnichannel marketing campaigns.
• Analytical mindset with comfort reviewing data and basic performance metrics.
