The Fresh Market currently has an opening for an Social Media Coordinator in our Store Support Center (099).The Social Media Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting The Fresh Market’s social media presence by producing, posting, and tracking performance-driven content. This individual is responsible for implementing and optimizing social media content and campaigns, ensuring alignment with The Fresh Market’s overall marketing strategy while engaging audiences across all digital platforms.
Reporting to the Social Media Manager, the Social Media Coordinator will help bring The Fresh Market brand and product offerings to life for guests through strategic content creation. They will maintain The Fresh Market’s presence across multiple channels, including Instagram, Facebook (brand and local store pages), TikTok, X, Pinterest, and YouTube while tracking key performance indicators to drive engagement, awareness, and digital growth. This dynamic and motivated individual must thrive in a fast-paced environment, be comfortable executing quick-turn campaign activations, and have a strong ability to adapt to evolving social media trends.

What You'll Do:Community Engagement & Brand Representation:
- Perform multiple sweeps daily of social media channels and digital platforms, responding professionally to guest comments, messages, and reviews.
- Track commonly asked questions with Community Specialist and escalate awareness of incoming communications when necessary, coordinating responses on topics getting high engagement to ensure consistent brand voice and talking points.
- Represent The Fresh Market’s brand voice in social media interactions, ensuring positive engagement and effective messaging.
- Collaborate with internal teams (cross-functional marketing, merchandising) to review organic and paid social content, coordinate approvals, and address guest inquiries.
Content Development & Execution:
- Partner with the Social Media Manager and Director of Paid & Digital Media to develop and execute the monthly social media plan that brings key brand initiatives, seasonal offerings, and priority campaigns to life.
- Ideate, film, edit, and write engaging video content that’s optimized for each platform, ensuring brand consistency and audience relevance for planned calendar content and trend activations.
- Ensure all shared content is tagged in the social media management platform for analysis by channel, content topic, seasonality, and video type.
- Maintain consistency between the social media calendar and broader cross-functional marketing calendar, ensuring alignment across departments.
- Ensure content is published on schedule, meeting all internal deadlines and approval processes.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
- Track performance of all social content, assisting the Social Media Manager with preparation of monthly reports on KPIs, platform trends, and campaign impact.
- Create and manage content supporting the monthly Social Performance Plan with defined key measurement areas, testing opportunities, and optimization strategies.
- Track emerging social media trends and updates to enhance The Fresh Market’s social presence.
Expectations for Output:
- Maintain an engaging, on-brand social media presence across all platforms through daily content creation, scheduling and guest interactions.
- Work with the Social Media Manager to prepare monthly reports on social content performance, identifying trends and actionable insights.
- Provide timely execution of content, ensuring all planned posts and reels align with seasonal and priority initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail in tagging, tracking, and analyzing data to optimize content effectiveness.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, recommending new content formats to enhance engagement.
At a minimum, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of digital marketing and b-to-c social media experience, with proven expertise in content creation and platform management.
- A passion for food and digital storytelling.
- Strong copywriting and editing skills with the ability to craft compelling, brand-aligned social media content (writing samples required).
- Proficiency in video production, including filming, editing, and posting across platforms (CapCut and native apps).
- Ability to track, tag, and analyze social media performance data to identify trends and derive insights.
- Deep knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices, ensuring content optimization.
- Experience with Sprout Social, Microsoft Office (Excel in particular), and Adobe Creative Suite (preferred).
- Positive, solution-driven attitude with strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and adaptability in a high-paced environment.
