About the Position:The Fresh Market currently has an opening for a Vice President, Financial Planning & Business Performance in our Store Support Center (099). The Vice President, Financial Planning & Business Performance serves as the senior leader responsible for business planning, financial performance, and decision support across the organization. Reporting to the CFO, this role partners closely with executive leadership and Cencosud’s corporate finance team to drive a value-focused, business-partner-oriented finance function.
This leader will oversee financial planning, performance management, and strategic analysis across the company while leading a team of director-level finance partners. The role plays a critical part in transforming Finance into a proactive function that enables growth, efficiency, and one version of the truth across the organization.
What You'll Do:Business Planning & Performance Leadership
- Lead the Annual Operating Plan, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
- Provide actionable financial insights to support executive decision-making
- Drive consistent reporting and performance review processes across the organization
- Establish and reinforce “one version of the truth” across financial data and reporting
Business Partnership & Decision Support
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, influencing decisions beyond finance
- Partner across operations, commercial, and corporate functions to drive performance
- Translate complex financial data into clear insights and recommended actions
Performance Management & Value Creation
- Evaluate business initiatives, capital investments, and strategic projects through ROI analysis
- Monitor company performance against key metrics and identify improvement opportunities
- Strengthen accountability and focus on results across the organization
Finance Transformation & Leadership
- Lead the continued evolution of Finance toward a business-partner model
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and enterprise-wide financial discipline
- Foster a high-performance culture grounded in collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
At a minimum, what you’ll need:
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
- Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance management
- Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leadership to influence business decisions
- Advanced knowledge of ROI modeling, investment analysis, and enterprise reporting frameworks
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive organizational change
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in retail, grocery, or consumer-focused industries
- Experience working in or with global organizations or matrixed environments
- Exposure to business-partner finance models and performance-driven culture
